Beyond My Sight

The storm dominated the view
Defeat and unbelief rode the wind
Gaping jaws stole my fertile ground
For a time, it was not allowed to rescind

God did not stop me from perceiving
I was furled into the angry froth of despair
Nor was taken the unquiet burden
I was stirred and weak in this cheerless lair

Then the eagle came into my apprehension
I could only watch as it flew into action
Flying to and fro before the painful
Showing me truth beyond this bastion

It flew beyond depressions open mouth
I grew faint as it vanished from my sight
Up and over all my defeat and lack of faith
My hope returned , when it flew back

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I was allowed to go through this and this poem actually happened to me only a few short months ago. I thought God had turned His back on me and my family and He let me see the eagle find a way beyond my situation. God forgive me, he was there all the time. A big lesson learned over something I thought I already knew… Be ever watchful and pray without ceasing or you can be caught so unaware.
